Bloophone, a Paris based company, was founded in February 2001 on the premise that Voice-over-IP (VoIP) technology would enable a "next generation" of converged voice-data networks and communication services that would dramatically alter the business model and operations of Service Providers (Telcos, operators, next-gen operators, CLECs, LECs, ISPs, ASPs), and trigger a revolution in voice and multi-media services for the consumer and business markets.

Bloophone offers Service Providers and Enterprises a suite of next-generation networking products, terminals, and network-based applications for VoIP. The company has developed Smart & Mobile communication solutions focused on Bluetooth and IP Telephony technologies. The products enable Service Providers to build converged networks, provide new terminals, and to offer network-based multi-media communications for Consumer and Enterprise markets

The executive management team represents a wealth of industry knowledge related to the traditional telecom industry. The team understands the "old" and the "new", as well as the opportunities that market innovation will provide for integrated wireless voice and data communications of the future. The executive management team of Bloophone is clearly positioned to move the company forward as a leader in IP telephony and packet based wireless communication solutions.

Samuel Gelrubin, Chief Executive Officer and President, is responsible for driving the innovation program and vision of the company. As one of the founders of Bloophone, Mr.Gelrubin has played a significant role in identifying new market opportunities and building the company through strategic and marketing leadership. Samuel Gelrubin received a master degree in Business Management from the "La Sorbonne University" in Paris.
 

Abraham (Avi) Gabay, Chief Technical Officer and Vice-President, is responsible for driving the technical innovation and staff. As of being one of the founders of Bloophone, Dr. Gabay has played a significant role in identifying new market opportunities and building the company through technical leadership. Prior to Bloophone, Dr. Gabay worked for France Telecom R&D laboratories (CNET) and Alcatel. Dr. Gabay is now a recognized technical leader in the VoIP industry. He graduated from "Telecom Paris" in Paris, France.
